Dr. Peyman Asadzade

Peyman Asadzade is a political scientist, policy analyst, and geopolitical risk expert specializing in policy evaluation, public opinion, and empirical analysis of political and geopolitical risk. He holds a PhD in Political Science and uses quantitative methods, survey research, causal inference, and regional expertise to assess political instability, policy effectiveness, geopolitical developments, and their implications for businesses, organizations, and policymakers.

His expertise includes Iran and the Middle East, U.S. foreign policy, sanctions and economic security, political conflict, authoritarian politics, and public opinion. He has advised firms, organizations, and private clients on geopolitical risk, policy developments, and strategic questions.

Dr. Asadzade has held research appointments at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, where he was affiliated with both the Middle East Initiative and the Managing the Atom project, and he is a fellow at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft. His research and analysis have been published in The Washington Post, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, and the Middle East Institute, among other academic and policy outlets.
